Fish Hoek

Fish Hoek is a seaside township about 17 miles south of Cape Town, on the west side of False Bay. I had often dreamt of living there, and this dream came true for the 4 months June-September 2008. The Fish Hoek Valley runs west from Fish Hoek right across the Cape Peninsula to the sea on the west - in former times it was under the sea. It is bounded by low but craggy mountains on the north, and particularly on the south side - I lived on the south mountainside.
